We wanted to bring you some of our favorite moments from Peter Bogdanovich's archive.

If you've been listening to the Blot Thiccans, you know that Peter recorded interviews with

some of classic Hollywood's greatest directors all while he was learning his craft.

On top of that, he also interviewed some of the leading actors from the 1930s, 40s, 50s, and 60s.

Here we give you excerpts from Peter's interviews with Henry Fonda, John Wayne, and Jimmy Stewart,

all of whom worked with director John Ford, the only director to win four Oscars.

They each have something to say about their experiences with Ford. Henry Fonda's up first,

and apparently he kept a dish filled with candy for visitors.

You were playing a real character, but did Ford direct you or did you just create an independent character?

First they told me about it.

I said, are you kidding?

I can't play Lincoln.

The idea is like playing Jesus or something.

I just didn't want to try it.

I didn't want to think about it.
