Well, we have a slight shift this week from talking to the people building the companies that are providing data and analytics to insurers, or in some cases underwriting themselves,

to another really important area for insurance, that is, placing platforms.

Now, the shift to digital requires a marketplace where buyers and sellers can transact

wherever they are in the world. Face-to- have shifted to face to phone over the last year,

but there are still few truly digital platforms for insurers for anything but the most simple

transactions. We released our E-placing Platforms report earlier this year, explaining what is

or sometimes is not happening. Akanova, co-funded by Henri Winand, is one of the companies

that is creating a platform and, importantly, has access to both the buyers and the sellers of the

risk. Now, this area is becoming increasingly more important, and Henri gives some insight

into how the platform operates, examples of some of their clients and what the future might hold.
