So every daughter wants her dad to be this guy who's going to protect her and defend her

and love her and really show her who God is.

Dr. Meg Meeker is passionate about the difference that a loving dad makes in his daughter's

life and she's back again today on Focus on the Family.

John last time we spoke with Dr. Meeker about the tremendous impact that her father had

on her life and she lost her dad several years ago but in trying to be that good father,

he left a lasting impression on her of what a man of character and virtue is all about.

And she said last time he wasn't a perfect father and that's a relief to us dads because

I think oftentimes we're trying and striving to be perfect and sometimes our wonderful

wives are helping us move in that direction.

But you know what, it's not about perfect, it's about good and God fills in those gaps.
