Summary

We always want to see our kids reach an appropriately healthy amount of independence as they move into adulthood, but for those of us with special needs kids, this process can be more challenging and time-consuming than we may have anticipated. In the last episode, Peggy Ployhar joined me to discuss ways to engage our autistic kids in learning. Today she will share what she believes is important in helping our autistic young adults move toward more independence.    Resources mentioned in this episode: Link to podcast episode search bar Raising Boys to Men Book Raising Boys to Men Audiobook The Unhurried Homeschooler The Unhurried Homeschooler Audiobook Unhurried Grace for a Mom’s Heart The Four-Hour School Day CTC Math Voetberg Music Academy (Use discount code WILSON20for 20%) Raise Them Well Back to School Bundle Subscribe to my monthly email and receive access to Unhurried Grace for a Mom's Heart: 31 Days in God's Word   Related episodes: Respect, Responsibility, and Our Special Needs Kids   Masculinity and Our Special Needs Boys   What I Have Learned So Far About Autism So Far   Encouragement For Parents of Kids With Disabilities    Ways to connect with Peggy: Empowering Homeschool Conversations (Podcast) SPED Homeschool Website SPED Homeschool Community
