Summary

As we near summertime, we look forward to so many things! Perhaps less stress and more downtime…slowing down, and maybe sleeping in even! Yet, summer is also a great time to work on healthy family habits: Chores, *Character Training, and a daily quiet time with the Lord! I receive a lot of questions about kids and devotions…when did my kids start, what did that look like, and do I have devotionals that I recommend? Today, my oldest son, Josiah, joins me to talk about all of these things. Josiah shares what he remembers about starting off doing devotions as a boy, and he shares some Scriptures that motivate him to spend time with the Lord. We also discuss the role of a devotional to go along with the Bible and prayer each day. And then!...Josiah shares a special announcement about his brand new devotional for teens! It’s called “The Gospel in 30 Days” and he has been working on it over the last couple years. 0:50.6	that daily time with God in prayer and reading the Bible. And a lot of parents are
0:55.3	looking for devotionals that they can use with their kids. Well, my son Josiah is with us today to talk
1:01.3	about all of these things. He's my oldest son. He's 25. And he loves spending time with God.
1:06.7	He really developed his personal devotional habits as a little boy. So we're going to talk about
1:12.6	what that looked like and a whole bunch about what to look for in a good devotional and maybe
1:18.6	some things to avoid. We're going to talk about the importance of spending time with God.
