Isabel Tom. I think our kids also appreciate, you know, they are in a social environment

where everybody has phones and is constantly just like not giving you their attention.

And I have found that it is the older people in my life who they're listening to me.

They are not checking their phones.

They're not like looking over there and saying like, I got to do this.

I got to do this.

Hold on one second.

They're just like ready to listen.

And so they have that availability.

Isabel, a self-described retired grandkid is also a mom and a daughter.

And today she is sharing insights

from her book.

She wrote The Value of Rinkles.

She has a background working with the elderly and grew up in a multi-generational household.

She has a great perspective on how much joy and life we can bring to the generation that

has gone before us and how much

of a mutual blessing it can be to us and our kids. She also gives really simple ways to

involve our kids in connecting with their grandparents and creating meaningful conversations.
