For many of us, sharing the gospel with an unbeliever can feel really intimidating.

We wonder how to turn the conversation towards spiritual things in a natural way.

We worry about hard questions that we won't have answers to.

Or we fear that we might damage a relationship if we say the wrong thing.

But is it possible that at least part of our struggle is due to a fundamental misunderstanding

of what we're actually called to do in evangelism?

Is it possible that we could come to see sharing our faith as an exciting privilege instead of a stressful duty.

In our interview today, I'm talking with Isaac Adams, a pastor at Capitol Hill Baptist Church in Washington, D.C.,

and the founder of the Ministry, United We Pray.

We got canceled last time because of COVID. We did. We're at TGC 2021 right now. There it is. Yeah. And last year, obviously just didn't happen. That's right, man. That's right. It's good to it's good to be together. I want to start this conversation about evangelism, which is obviously a topic that we all know well.

If we've been Christians for a while, if we've been in the church for a while, it feels very familiar.

But it also can feel intimidating. I think it can feel discouraging in a lot of ways.

But I want to start with a story that you tell in your book about your senior pastor, Mark Devere, which I thought was really interesting, really fun.
