I think we forget what a privilege the word is because it's ubiquitous. It's everywhere.

And the reality is this was not true for Christians centuries ago.

And that is not the case for my brothers and sisters in persecuted countries.

Well, yesterday on this program, I put on my accountability partner hat to ask you how you're doing in your devotional time with the Lord.

Today, I'd like to press that a little further and ask,

when it comes to faithfully spending time with the Lord in prayer

and in His Word, how are things in your heart?

What are your motives?

Are you doing it just to check off a box that says,

I had my devotions? Or are you doing it to to check off a box that says, I had my devotions?

Or are you doing it to draw closer to the Lord?
