And it's been a year since my brother passed.

And I can just hear him in my head going,

damn, you're not even going to do a podcast episode about me?

If you didn't know, I find it very hard to breathe when I think about it,

when it comes up.

But today we're at one year and it feels really important to talk to you. Maybe because you're going through the same thing,

maybe you lost somebody dear to you,

maybe you feel lost yourself,

maybe you've been recently betrayed

and the world no longer looks very loving and everything is just confusing.

I think we take for granted our stability.

I think it's easy to

imagine a world where

things don't fall apart very quickly,

but the truth is things fall apart very quickly, don't they?

Four years of the wrong guy in your bed, in the Oval Office, in the classroom,

and it can take a generation to recover.

Some of us have been through the wrong person already and can feel the chunk that it took out of our lives.

The Freemasons like to say that time is now.

And I learned that from a Bill Cooper recording that I was listening to the other day.
