Hello, everyone, and welcome to another episode of Helium 10's Weekly Buzz. My name is Carrie,

0:09.2

and this is the show where we get you familiar with the latest news in the Amazon and the

0:14.0

e-commerce space, interview people that you need to hear from, and provide a training tip of the

0:18.8

week for serious sellers for any level of seller

0:21.6

on Amazon, Walmart, and the e-commerce world. So let's go ahead and see what's buzzing.

0:27.0

Okay, so today we have some exciting news from Walmart that is some updates for their

0:32.0

pay-per-click advertising. We also have a new update for Amazon pay-click advertising reports.

0:39.7

And then we also have an update for Etsy so let's go ahead and get into it so the first thing that I'm really excited about is this

0:44.1

Walmart update so the Walmart update is basically we're moving from a first price auction to a

0:51.4

second price auction so that means that know, before we've been paying

0:56.2

the exact amount we've been bidding. So if you're, you know, doing an auto campaign and you decide to

1:01.3

bid $5 because you wanted to win those bids, well, you would actually pay $5 per click. So it actually

1:06.7

made it a little bit more difficult. So now with second price auction, you can actually bid

1:11.4

$5 and if the going rate of the, you know, the next highest bid is $1.50, you'll pay, you know, $1.51. So it's really exciting news. I'm really happy that they've made this change because I actually, I realized that I actually spent a lot of money because I wanted to raise my bid on the, you know, automatic campaigns.

1:08.1

I spend a lot of money on keywords that that shouldn't really be, you know, that high of a bid. So this is going to save people a lot of money. And I think it's going to be a great change. And you're going to see a lot more success on Walmart for this reason. So I'm really curious to hear what you think about it if you think

1:45.0

that it's a good thing and if you've tried it out and let us know. All right. And the next thing is

1:50.0

Amazon actually released sponsor display match targeted reporting. So this new report is available

1:56.0

for vendors and also those who are brand registered. And with the release of this report, you can actually take a deeper dive and see exactly

2:04.1

which product detail pages your ads are actually being displayed on, which you couldn't

2:09.2

see any of that before.

2:10.5

So basically, it's going to give you a lot more visibility to where you're actually getting

2:15.3

the clicks.
