Radical.net. Numbers chapter 34, verse 29. These are the men whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance for the people

of Israel in the land of Canaan. Now, that verse in this chapter, Numbers 34, doesn't seem

all that exciting. It's a list of a bunch of people's names, the men, as verse 29 says,

whom the Lord commanded to divide the inheritance

for his people in the land of Canaan. But I want you to think about what this verse

and this chapter represents, it represents a God who is faithful to keep all of his promises to his people. The whole picture here goes

back centuries before this to God's promise to Abraham, to Isaac, to Jacob, to give their descendants a promised land. This was God's promise to Moses. I'm going to lead

you out of slavery in Egypt to bring you into the land I've promised for you, a land flowing with

milk and honey. And now it's about to happen.

And as we read Numbers 34, verse 29, I just want to encourage you today that God is faithful

to keep all of his promises to his people,

to lead, to guide, to be with, to bless his people in all the ways he has promised to do that.

And I just want you to think about how your life today is, in all the ways he has promised to do that.

And I just want you to think about how your life today

amidst a world where you don't know what's coming at you today

or tomorrow or the next month, over the next year,

and the days to come, but you have a rock,
