Summary

Tonight, we’ll read the next part to the classic children’s story "Heidi", published in 1881 by Swiss author Johanna Spyri. If you’d like to start from the beginning, you’ll find that the very first episode aired on March 8th, 2019. If you’d like to listen to the last episode before this one, it aired on August 24th, 2020. "Heidi" is a novel about the life of a young girl in her grandfather's care in the Swiss Alps. "Heidi" is one of the best-selling books ever written and is among the best-known works of Swiss literature. We will pick up at the start of chapter 10. In the previous episode, Heidi causes lots of cute chaos since she isn’t familiar with the formal life in the city. Miss Rottenmeier the head housekeeper is at odds with Heidi but Heidi always ends up overcoming the adversity due to her sweet nature. Mr. Sesseman, Clara’s father, comes home and Miss Rottenmeier tries her best to turn him against Heidi. Luckily, Mr. Sesseman uses his own perspective on Heidi along with Clara’s enthusiastic embrace of her to let her stay. -- read by 'V' -- Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/snoozecast) Listen Ad-Free on Patreon See acast.com/privacy for privacy and opt-out information.
