Folks, I know you know this was going to be a simple elephant in the room this week.

And, you know, the Republicans like to pretend that they have an exclusive and complete and

eternal domination of the issue of who loves the military, who cares about our men and women

in uniform. I mean, they would prefer no women in uniform, but that's another story for another

day. They want to play this game all the time. We see it a lot. I've seen it for

decades. When I was a Republican strategist, we used it against Democrats. We used it against you guys

all the time. You really don't like the men and women who serve this country. You are in favor of the

communists. And it was always kind of bullshit. But now, and I want to get really into the

weeds on this for a minute, on the signal gate problem. We're going to set aside for one moment

the legality of what Pete Heggseth and Mike Waltz and the rest of these clowns did, which it was illegal. And I can tell you this from personal experience, the inadvertent,

because guys, I can remember the briefings from 30 years ago when I was getting all my

clearance bullshit done. Even if you do it inadvertently,

it can be illegal. You can say things are secret. You can say things that end up being

secret or top secret or even SCI that that you don't think are, but you make a mistake. You can

still be liable for that.
