Welcome to our Monday's broadcast of the Gospel Truth.

Today I'm beginning my third week of teaching verse by verse through the book of Hebrews. I tell you this is one of my favorite

passages of scripture and we've now covered nearly to the end of chapter four.

So I'll be starting today in Hebrews chapter 4 verse 12. Let me mention that we've got a new hard back cover book out and this is a verse by verse teaching through the book of Hebrews.

This is my digital commentary that I have here on my computer.

I've written footnotes on over 27,000 verses in the Bible.

And this is the Hebrews portion of this living commentary,

and we just printed this out.

And I tell you, this is going to be a tremendous study tool.

I've got a footnote on every single verse in the book of Hebrews and then we also have

CDs, DVDs in a USB that will have a combination of the audio and video on there.

But this has been a powerful book and you know I've already taught through nearly four chapters of Hebrews and there were some powerful things that I've said.

I can't go back through and summarize all that, but please take advantage of the materials.

Let me just basically say that the book of Hebrews

is to transition Christians from the Old Testament way of relating to God to the New Testament way of relating to God.

It is to bring people out of a legalistic mindset where they were under the law

and observing all of the sacrifices and not only the sacrifices and rituals, but just the whole mentality that you have to do things to please God.
