0:00.0	If we've not met, my name is Gage Henry, and I'm so honored to be able to preach God's word to you today. And I just want to say to all the people who celebrate, may the fourth be with you. For some of you, yep, some of y'all are excited about that. If I had Miles said, I had to say it. So may the fourth be with you. So glad you're joining us. If you've not been with us the last few weeks. The last few Sundays have just been so powerful for so many different reasons.

0:24.8	in the arena. Last Sunday, we heard 86 stories of life change in baptism going public with their
0:30.8	faith. But three weeks ago, we were in the Hebrew series in chapter 10, and today we're going to
0:35.7	pick back up exactly where Miles left off.
0:38.3	And he preached a sermon titled God's plan is the church. And in that sermon, he said this,
0:43.9	there is a direct connection between the lack of endurance and the American church and the lack of
0:49.8	importance and committing to a local church. Those are harsh words in a lot of ways if you think about it,
0:57.0	but if you think about the context of Hebrews, the writer is writing to a small house church
1:03.9	somewhere in Italy who's on the verge of throwing in the towel, who's on the verge of giving
1:09.6	up. And today we're going to pick back up in the
1:12.0	middle of chapter 10 and we needed to have that context because he's going to give us a very harsh
1:16.4	warning but he's going to end with this encouragement verse 39 but we do not belong to those
1:22.3	who shrink back and are destroyed but to those who are saved who who have faith and are saved. So if you need a
1:29.8	title for the sermon, it's don't shrink back. Don't shrink back. We must acknowledge that the right
1:38.3	combination of circumstances and situations could take any of us out.
1:49.2	What happens when the person who led you to the Lord all of a sudden lets you down?
1:50.8	What happens when all of a sudden the divorce is final?
1:54.3	What happens when your addiction comes back into play?
1:56.8	What happens when the person that you love most passes away?
2:00.6	What happens when the plan that you were writing slowly doesn't become your plan anymore?
2:05.2	And it feels like God has let you hanging, let you down.
