He had just gotten his driver's license. He asked his father about borrowing the car.

His father said, son, I'll make a deal with you. If you'll bring your grades up, read your Bible every day, and get your haircut, I'll let you borrow it.

He came back a month later and asked about it again. Father said, well, son, you brought your grades up.

You've been reading your Bible every day, but you still haven't got your haircut. He said, well, son, you brought your grades up. You've been reading your Bible every day,

but you still haven't got your hair cut. He said, well, Dad, I've been thinking about it.

Moses had long hair. Samson had long hair. Even Jesus had long hair. His father said,

yes, son, and they walked everywhere they went. Hold your Bible up.

Say it like you mean it.

This is my Bible.

I am what it says I am.

I have what it says I have.

I can do what it says I can do.

Today I will be taught the word of God.
