On today's episode we have on Aaron Leonard and Connor Gallagher, who are the authors of

Heavy Radicals, the FBI's Secret War on America's Mowest, and this is the new Revised and

Updated Edition.

So for a long time RevLeft fans and I actually went back and listened to this episode, it's

almost been five years since I had Aaron on the first time to discuss the original book.

So if you've been a long time listener of RevLeft, you might remember that, but if not,

no worries, we're going to link our original episode about the book in the show notes of

this episode so people can listen to that.

You can listen to it in any order, but in that one we really go deep on the book itself

and this one's going to be more focused on the changes that have occurred with the

revised and updated editions, some of the new information that's come out, etc.

But before we get into it, Aaron and Connor, would you like to each sort of introduce

yourselves?

Sure, I'll go first, I guess.

So I'm Aaron Leonard.

I live out in Los Angeles County.

I'm an author, you know, written Heavy Radicals with Connor.

We did a follow-up that focused on informants who penetrated the highest desolance of radical

organizations called Sred of the First Magnitude.

My current book is called Folks Singers in the Bureau, which deals with people like Woody,

Cutthree and Pete Seeger and the FBI's efforts against them in the Communist Party.
