With that, let's get to it. Philippians chapter 3. We're going to pick it up in verse 20,

actually the end of verse 19, and we're going to also get into chapter 4 and verse 1.

So if you're not turned there, I'll have you turn there. And if you are turned there,

I'll ask you to stand. You can follow along as I read. If you are unable, then that's okay too,

where you're seated is fine. I want to begin at the end of verse 19 in chapter 3, and I think you'll see why as we get into this.

Paul writes and says,

Their mind is set on earthly things, but, verse 20, our citizenship is in heaven and we eagerly await a

savior from there the Lord Jesus Christ who by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control

will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.

I cannot wait.

Oh right on.

You feel my pain and I yours.

I mean, this body's got a lot of miles on it,

and I'm reminded of it every day when I look at myself in the mirror and say,

Oh, Lord, come quickly.

But I digress. Verse one of chapter four, Paul goes on to say,

therefore, my brothers and sisters, you whom I love and long for my joy and crown stand firm in the Lord in this way dear friends let's pray. Lord, will you settle our hearts and enable us to focus our attention on you and your word and that which you have for us here in your word today.

Lord, give us ears to hear what the Spirit would say to us, your people, in this your church,

we pray. In Jesus' name, amen. You can be seated. Thank you.

So I have to confess that this is another one of those places in God's Word that I've been really looking forward to. I know I probably say that about
