Today would be the anniversary of losing Doug Buffon, a score classic, a Bears classic, a guy that means a lot to a lot of people at this radio station.

And I know a ton of people listening as well.

So we are excited to have Mitch Rosen join us.

Pennsylvania guy kind of like Wani.

Yeah, yeah.

You know, Doug was great, great in our hallways.

And, you know, he loved this job.

He'd come in four hours before shift and prep, and he'd do things like eat raw soup out of a Campbell soup can and, you know, spit tobacco and, you know, work out of office.

All of those things that Mitch said are true.

A hundred percent true about our friend Doug Bofone.

Doug Bofone, long time Chicago Bears linebacker.

Just, you know, son of a coal miner.

Pennsylvania guy.

Not just a guy I would eat raw soup out of a can,

but also a damn good NFL linebacker for a long, long time.

If you go to the Hall of Fame,

Doug's not in the Hall of Fame,

but he's in the Hall of Fame.

And they haven't broken down by eras in decades.

And the picture for the 60s is him and butkus so amazing it made it i cried like

i was like that's our guy yeah it's our guy um he has left us but amazingly we still have access
