I'm a big fan of his, and it's not something, you know, every guy named Goldberg might be

expected to say. We have Russell Moore. He is an ordained Baptist Miner, Minister of the Editor-in-Chief

of Christianity today, a senior fellow with the Trinity Forum, and a member of the

Board of the Becket Law firm, or the Becket Law Institute. I don't think I'm missing a word.

Anyway, additionally, Moore hosts a weekly podcast called the Russell Moore Show and his co-host

of Christianity today's weekly podcast, The Bulletin. He's got a new book, Losing Our Religion,

an Alter Call for Evangelical America. Dr. Moore, thank you for joining the Remnant.

Oh, thanks. Thanks for having me as they used to say long-time listener, first-time caller.

David French, our mutual friend, has always been bitter about how I snagged the name The Remnant

for a podcast before he could, and he's actually pretty good about doing the biblical

connotations of it better than I am about doing some of the biblical connotations, but it's all

from the same wellspring. And I see you as sort of one of the fighting, I grew up watching Kung Fu

movies, so I mean this with love, but one of the fighting monks of the religious wing of the

Remnant in many ways. So why don't we just sort of, I always ask first-time authors, I always ask

guests with books. The first question is, what's your book about? So what's your book about?

It's about this strange, crazy time in American religion, in which you have a lot of people

who are walking away from the church because they're disillusioned with it, and for all the right

reasons. At the same time, at least in my wing of evangelicalism, you have a lot of people coming in,
