The Gospel of John chapter 3, Jesus told this religious man who came to him by the name of Nicodemus.

What Jesus said to Nicodemus leaves us in no doubt whatsoever as to the answer to the question,

religious man. This man had a prominent position on the Supreme Court of the day. He probably

memorized the Old Testament. He probably kept all the religious ceremonies. And he came to Jesus under the cover of night.

Now, I want you to not to miss this. Why come to Jesus at all? Why come to Jesus?

The answer is very clear. All of his religiosity failed him and failed to give him real joy and real contentment of life.

He was hungry for the truth.

He was hungry for meaning in life.

He watched how God's power coursing through the Lord Jesus Christ.

He saw how Jesus supernaturally healed the sick,

raised the dead, fed thousands of people and the little boy's lunch.
