And it's hard to escape its consequences in the Bay Area, from stifling heat

to that eerie day last September when our skies were painted orange. It's easy to feel

daunted by the enormity of this problem. At the same time, the end of this story is not yet

written. So much of what we and our children will experience depends on human

actions in the next few years. Today, we'll be talking about how climate change is unfolding

in the Bay Area. We'll talk about the effects of smoke, heat, and sea level rise and what we
