Okay, this is Beth. Listen, what we live for at Living Proof is to serve people the Word

of God. We base our ministry on Hebrews 4.12 that tells us that the Word is alive and

active. We pray this message is going to serve you in some way today and that God is

going to speak through it. Thank you so much for giving us this privilege. Delighting

in God adapts our desires into inevitabilities and to things that are absolutely inevitable.

This is where the promise of the Scripture comes in. I'm going to pause long enough

for you to write it down. All right, I want you to say it after me. Delighting in God.

Delights our desires into inevitabilities. Say to one another, it's inevitable. Say

it again. It's inevitable. See, when you and I, the Word says and it's stated as a promise

that if we will learn to delight ourselves in the Lord our God, He will give us the desires

of our hearts. He will look down at the heart of our desires, see the desires of our hearts

and we will have affirmative answer after affirmative answer, but the condition is do

we delight in the Lord our God and what happens is this as we begin to delight in Him, our

delight begins to adapt, to adapt very often our desire just needs some kind of shifting,

just an adjustment. So often the desires of our hearts are coming from things that are

of God that come from His own heart, that are His own passion and He's working with

us and shifting us until He can get us dead on His will to ask for what He is after

in our lives. And it's delight that adapts those desires into inevitabilities and I want

you to think this through because look with me at verses 23 and 24 of Psalm 37. 23 and

24. It says this, if the Lord delights in a man's way, He makes His steps firm. I love

the ESV and the King James version on this particular verse. It says more of this. ESV says,

the steps of a man are established by the Lord when he delights in his way. And it says in
