As I was beginning pre-production on Strong Song Season 6,

I held my first ever listener voting bracket to have listeners vote on an artist for

me to cover in the upcoming season.

We started with 32 different artists ranging from Cindy Lauper to Ella Fitzgerald, and everyone on Patreon got a vote.

Several rounds and many votes later it all came down to an unlikely showdown between two very different bands.

On the one hand, Nirvana, and on the other hand, Blondie.

To be honest, I really thought Nirvana was going to pull it out.
