Welcome back in Tiger fans. It's another week of hearing voices where we get to hear, learn,

and know more about the people that we listen to and on radio and television and streaming and everywhere else you take in media that bring college sports alive.

And I'm excited because I don't have to remind you that we are a week away from the start of LSU baseball, college baseball.

And it is a fever pitch, pardon the pun, here in South Louisiana for LSU fans all over the country.

And our guest this week knows it very well, covers it better than anybody on television.

And I'm thrilled to have one of the best pitchers to ever throw one in the SEC, certainly for LSU,

nine-year career in the majors, and really the best analyst, whether it's pro baseball, college baseball. He's second to none. So please welcome LSU legend Ben McDonald. Ben, thanks for showing up, man. Yeah, man. My pleasure. My pleasure to be, first time to be with you and doing this. I'm excited about it. I'm excited about the baseball season. It's been a long time

coming. And as you know, a ton of excitement here in Baton Rouge this year, LSU preseason number one, and all eight polls, believe it or not, there are eight poles out there, and they're preseason number one and every one of them. So this is the most excitement I've seen for the LSU baseball program in a long time.

You know, it's interesting because I wanted to get your take on, you know, the baseball team,

how it's been constructed, the job that Jay has done to reassemble his staff in a year,

and then go find those pieces that we all knew, and he knew, and talked about, we're missing

a year ago.

And, you know, before we jump into LSU, you talk about the excitement that Tiger fans have.

I mean, you can take any poll you want.

I typically went to D1 baseball.

Nine SEC teams in their top 25.

Now, that's pretty common as far as SEC being the most dominant conference.
