my feet

and a lie unto

a lie unto my pad to my path.

Here on Searchlight we are talking about hearing God's voice. Jesus tells us that we are his sheep and that he knows us and speaks to us.

On our last program, John began showing us four things from our story in First Samuel 3,

about hearing from the Lord.

This is the portion of scripture where Samuel first hears from the Lord.

He was just a young boy at the time.

And this is the first thing that we considered.

God spoke to a young boy.

Why?

Because children listen with expectation and wonder. That is how God wants

us to listen to him. God wants us to listen with childlike faith, knowing that he will speak something wonderful to us.

As we join John for the continuation of this study, he is finishing up some thoughts on this
