I'm Brian Hyatt. This is Rolling Stone music down. This week Rolling Stone published a story I wrote in a song along with it.

It went pretty viral and we're going to be exploring more of that story here today.

So just last year, I did a bunch of stories

about AI music and the experts I spoke to agreed on one thing because recorded

music and high fidelity audio is so complex they all said it would be years until a tool arrived that

could generate finished songs, vocals and all, from a simple type description.

And to be clear, things like that fake Drake Weekend song from last year weren't anything like that.

That song was entirely written and produced and sung by a human with AI voice morphing

added at the end.

But Generative AI is moving at astonishing speed.

And this year I became aware of a service named Suno that's succeeded in making a chat

gb-t-tte or mid-journy for music.

The latest model, V3, which just became available to the general public, is capable of some

truly astonishing and unnerving results. a bold gente and blea.

The song we included with the story we published was called Sol of the Machine and it was generated entirely, including the title from the prompt

solo acoustic Mississippi Delta Blues about a sad AI.

And it's technically a collaboration between two AI models because Suno calls out to actual

chat gee B. T to write lyrics unless you paste in your own.
