0:09.0	During this Pride Month, we have seen backlash against brands like Bud Light and Target for
0:13.5	recognizing and in that way, tacitly supporting the fact that gender identities exist and are

0:20.5	But a fluid gender spectrum is just another layer on the cake of complicated gender politics

0:27.6	For a long time, we've thought of this stuff as feminism versus patriarchy.
0:32.3	But our guest today argues that it's much, much more complicated than that.
0:36.5	They argue that not only is gender a verb, not a noun, but that everyone hurts in a patriarchal

0:44.2	You can start to see that the way that gender actually works is not to lift men up and push
