Todd what is on your mind today?

Buyouts, buyouts, buyouts.

Yeah, I can see why.

Last week you were talking to my colleague Michael Douglas on this show about Gilead Science's acquisition of Kite Pharma, so this week we figured this over candidates. And after that we'll discuss the demise of Temoph Pharmaceutical, a stock which

shed half its value just last month. But first, Todd, I feel like the biotech space is particularly

talked about in terms of buyout speculation.

Why do you think that is?

You know, people like to hit home runs in this industry, you know?

I mean, by the nature of the beast, I mean with clinical trials failing and successes being rare and failing more frequently, people have to, when they go in and they buy biotech stocks there there tend to be more risk tolerant.

Would you agree, Christine?

Yeah, oh for sure and investors should be pretty risk tolerant if they're going to enter

particularly the clinical

stage biotech space.

But I don't know, it confuses me why there's so much speculation and hope for buyouts.

Because if it were me and I was buying one of these companies
