You know, I was thinking about how Antonio now has most of the answers he's been searching his entire adult life for.

He now knows where his mother has been for the last three decades, buried in an unmarked grave.

That's understandable, but what do you feel nervous about? Everything. Recently on a rainy afternoon in April, Antonio and I traveled to Philadelphia to meet with Dr Robin L Smith.

She's a psychologist known for many years as the resident therapist for the Oprah Winfrey show.

She co-authored this excellent book called The Invisible A with Courtney B Vance. It's about black men identifying

their pain and reclaiming their right to grieve. In light of what we've all

learned about Anita's death and the feelings of guilt and shame that Antonio

is kept deep inside of him for so long, seeing Dr Robin just feels like the most natural
