Today's podcast guest is really probably one of the people I have admired the most virtually

0:07.5

in my spiritual journey. Years ago, when I was just in college and graduate school, there was a

0:15.2

quote that I kept on a yellow piece of construction paper. And I kept it in this folder called Inspirations. And I also

0:22.7

in this folder, and I encourage you to do this as well, kept cards that people had sent me over

0:27.5

time. Even I remember keeping a piece of my, an email I printed out from the professor of mine

0:34.8

that was reading my doctoral dissertation at the time, all the things that I could

reference in those moments where I had self-doubt when I was questioning whether or not I wanted

who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous. Actually, who are you not to be?

1:29.8

You are a child of God.

1:32.3

Your playing small does not serve the world.

1:35.5

There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you.

1:40.9

We are all meant to shine, as children do.

1:46.6

We were born to make manifest the glory of God within us. It is not in some of us. It is in everyone. And as we let our own light shine,

1:54.7

we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own

2:00.8

fear, our presence automatically

2:03.2

liberates others. So this is from Marianne's book, Return to Love, which was probably about 20 to 25
