All right, everybody, hope you're not sick of Jenny Frentiss and I from the Sunday night

podcast.

We're back for the Weekside Podcast, but guess what?

A lot has changed in 24 hours.

We got plenty more to talk about the regular season has come to and

end the playoff field is set in a bunch of head coaches a small handful of head coaches

are now at work and we're looking at who might be able to replace them. A big one

coming up here that we'll discuss in a little bit happening in New York a team that

Jenny and I know very well, a very interesting sort of seminal hiring going on there I think for

John Merritt a really important time for the franchise but I think it's been a

really interesting process this year last year maybe we were all a little jaded or, you know, walked away a little bit,

confused about this push to hire the next young offensive guru and how that influenced the

process and the speed and the timing.

This year feels a little bit different in that maybe more experience is attractive for

owners at least in the names that we've been seeing coming out very early in who's

getting permission requests and also you know there are teams that might be

done by the time that we finished taping this podcast it looks like

Washington is pretty far down the road with the

candidate so I don't know it seems like this is a very different landscape than the

one that we left just a year ago we are a long way from the if you know Sean McVeigh you will get an

interview jokes right I mean I think that tree is is pretty dry at this point so

it seems like there are different approaches into this hiring cycle.
