| 0:30.5 | So let's start at the beginning, but I always ask everyone, how did you first meet your partner and when did you know there was a problem? |
| 0:39.5 | Yeah, that is a great question and a good place to start. |
| 0:43.5 | So my husband is definitely one of the good ones. |
| 0:46.5 | I know we talk about that all the time. |
| 0:48.5 | A lot of these partners are good people that just struggle with addiction and that's definitely the camp that he falls in. |
| 0:57.5 | We met actually through some mutual friends. |
| 1:00.5 | One of my friends had gotten engaged and so I went to visit her and my now husband was living there at the time. |
| 1:10.5 | And while I was there, she kind of set us up and introduced us and we made a connection and we lived a few days away. |
| 1:16.5 | So we kind of carried on a long distance relationship for a little while. |
| 1:20.5 | And just reconnected kind of our friend's wedding and then handed that moving to my area after that. |
| 1:28.5 | Wanting to just get to know each other better and needed to find a new place of work and that kind of thing. |
| 1:35.5 | Our story is a little bit unique in that. |
| 1:37.5 | My husband had used substances a lot in his teenage years. |
| 1:40.5 | We had a really rough home life. |
| 1:42.5 | And more drugs back then though than alcohol. |
| 1:46.5 | And experimented with everything. |
| 1:49.5 | With smart enough though to not get addicted. |
