I'm 29 years old, single, and here to talk about dating somebody and being in love with somebody

for over a year who never reciprocated his feeling.

I am excited to hear your story because I imagine it's something that a lot of people do face and go through, but I don't think

it gets talked about often because it's not a fun thing to talk about.

And I think it's like almost, so boyfriend and I dated for a year.

I said, I love you about four months in. He had a lot of baggage around the word

and wasn't ready to say it quite yet is what he told me at the time. And then ultimately

ended up dating for over a year with him never once saying it. And I do think there's a lot

of stigma around that and shame for like,

how did you stay with somebody for that long? Like, why would you put up with that? But he was,

you know, there were reasons for staying with him for that long. Of course. Let's go back to the

beginning. How did the two of you meet and what was going on in your dating life when you did meet?

So we met on Hinge.

I was somewhat newly moved to Sacramento, been here for like six months or so at the time.
