0:20.0

Oh better this is the first podcast that I've recorded when I have a new member of the household as I tweeted out and put on Instagram this weekend I adopted a three year old beagle named Luca which my family thinks that Lucas a boys name now I think it's a unisex name because I have a friend who's got a daughter whose name is Luca spelled LUCCA.

0:49.0

And there's a character on the good wife named Luca and she's a female she's a female however the Dallas Mavericks first round draft pick this year is named Luca Donkich and he's from Croatia or whatever he's a man so I guess it's unisex but that was the name that she had when the Humane Society founder she was a she was in the backyard of an Oklahoma Breeder and they found her like a month ago along with her sister.

1:18.0

And so they just every time they find a dog or a dog is turned in they give them a new name and they went with Luca and I just like okay I'll just keep that one.

1:28.0

It's a cute name her name when they founder apparently was birdie birdie birdie yeah the I R D I E I'm like okay well I'm glad you renamed her Luca because I don't think I would have called her birdie.

1:43.0

Yeah so it'll be interesting I this is a for like I said the first podcast of recordings that I've had her so I don't know how she's going to react with me over by the computer if she's going to walk over here she has a couple times before we actually started hitting record but she looks to be back on her bed and just kind of chilling out on the couch.

2:02.0

So that's good.

2:04.0

Is she a Barker?

2:06.0

She's been a Barker only when I have put her in her crate and I got her on Saturday afternoon I've only I've left twice without her and both times she did not want to go in her crate.

2:20.0

And it's weird because I could hear as I was walking out the door going into the garage to get my car I could hear her from the other room howling you know and it wasn't barking it was like howling and wailing like if you were walking by it sounds like someone's been there.

2:34.0

Like she's more of a howler and a whaler.

2:39.0

But then I leave and I don't know how long it goes on for maybe it goes on for 30 seconds maybe it goes on the whole time I'm gone like I don't know because I'm not here.

2:49.0

However I know that both times I've come back and taken her out of her crate she immediately you know just kind of spaz is out goes wild and also howls and whales just for a little bit.

3:01.0

But then she it's like an excitement howling and wailing because she I'm home so yeah I gotta go through this again this is a part of owning a dog but no she's been great other than that she's like you have a newborn baby I know it's she certainly is on baby time because when I had my old dog when I had Maddie.

3:20.0

Maddie did her own thing and she got up whenever she felt like getting up and and maybe it's because I only had look up for two days or three days now but she.

3:30.0

She goes in her bed at night and she never I don't hear her making noises or whatever but when she's up she immediately comes to my end of the bed and puts her paws on the bed and wants.

3:41.0

Attention and literally and it definitely wakes me up and then.

3:46.0

I try to get her to go back in her bed and she just like when she's up she's up and it's almost like having a baby like I have to.

3:53.0

Go through with this but it's not like she's waking me up at four in the morning it's right you know a little bit a little bit earlier than I've used to getting up because usually I make my own time of when I get up since I never had to answer anything my own boss so it's been interesting but she's been great so far other than you know we've had a couple accidents in the house which is expected because she's in a new place.

4:13.0

The good thing is she's gone on the tile so it's very easy to clean up but.

4:18.0

And she's really cute yeah she's real she's adorable my family loves her and you know it took me two and a half years like I just never put myself out there I never.
