Hey, Josh, thank you so much for joining me on the Preacher Boys podcast. I know I introduced you a little bit before the episode. Can you just introduce yourself personally to the sort of listening and let them know your first experience within the independent fundamental Baptist movement?

Well, I actually grew up in the Independent Baptist Church from the nursery on up until this month, really. I grew up in Georgia,

going to a independent Baptist church in Swanee, Georgia. I actually had growing up a pretty good

experience in my church. We had a good youth group. Nothing really overly crazy happened while

I was growing up, but that kind of changed when I went

off to college. I went to Marine Baptist College and Glint State Mary that was with Tom and Greg

Neil there. I was there, saw some things that weren't right. I was actually there when the whole

video scandal happened.

So needless to say, as a sophomore, no, actually I was a junior in college, my now wife was a sophomore.

We didn't know what all was going to go on with that.

So we just kind of stayed and graduated.

But outside of that, you know, I became a pastor while I was pastoring.

Overall, things went well for the first couple years. Church was growing. We had some good things
