Summary

When Israel begins to long for a new David, the true David and true king of the world, we witness the longing for God. Jesus Christ is precisely this king: the Davidic king, and God ruling his creation. His ministry reveals the nature of his kingship, from the manger to the cross.

Friends, welcome to Word on Fire Catholic Ministries. Word on Fire is an

apostolate dedicated to the mission of evangelization using media both old and

0:11.4

new to share the faith on every continent and to facilitate and encounter with

0:16.6

Christ and His Church. The efforts of Word on Fire engage the culture and bring

0:21.8

the transformative power of God's Word where it is most needed. Today we invite

0:27.9

you to join Bishop Robert Barron as he preaches the gospel and shares the

0:32.5

1:32.1

a very illuminating and liberating theme. Here's how we start. Right to the very

1:38.7

beginning of the Bible. God creates this beautiful creation coming forth from

1:44.4

him like a liturgical procession. How wonderful in the opening versus of the

1:49.5

book of Genesis. It sounds like the arrival of liturgical ministers as one day

1:55.4

follows another and first comes the light and then comes the earth and there
