Summary

Leslie continues the He Is series by exploring the amazing reality that God is love. He exemplifies agape love - a love that actively, purposefully seeks another’s highest. It is a sacrificial love. It is a selfless love. As Leslie explains in this episode, this is the love God showed toward us, and the very same love we are called to have towards Him. We often look at total surrender, total consecration to God as extreme. But as Leslie shares, His love for us was beyond extreme. This message reminds us that offering our lives as a living sacrifice to Him is not extreme - it is the reasonable, right, and loving response to the greatest love that has ever been or ever will be.

1:31.1	and believed the love the Father has for us, God is love, and He who abides in love abides in God
1:36.5	and God in Him. God is love. That is an astounding concept. His love is not just a human decision or even an emotional kind of love. He loves us with a
1:48.9	sacrificial, selfless love, agape love. And agape love is not an emotion. It's a choice. It was the
1:56.6	love that he demonstrated when he sent his only son to die on our behalf. It's a sacrificial love
2:02.7	that puts others above ourselves. That is the kind of love God exemplifies. That is who he is.
2:09.8	This is the kind of love that will not back down no matter how many obstacles or impossibilities
