We're at church.

I'm about to read some Bible because it's good.

We are in a series called The Miracles of Jesus.

The last two weeks we have been in Matthew and Mark.

We are now in Luke. We get to hear from the great physician, the doctor.

That was so deliberate about the things that he wrote about Jesus.

Starting in the Gospel, according to Luke, chapter number eight.

I'm picking up from the 40th verse now.

As a disclaimer, you have to know something about me.

When I read the Bible, it's kind of like a pop-up book.

It is very, very vivid to me.

This is why I spend so much time trying to act it out

and I want you to see what I have seen in my head.

Chapter number eight is just a whole adventure in and of itself.

It speaks of the women who had followed Jesus, the parable that Jesus gives about scattering the seed,

who his true family is, the parable of the lamp.

It's a very, very long chapter.

He's talking about the disciples going out into the lake

and them thinking that they were going to die.

Jesus having to tell them where is their faith.
