The weekly show where we peel back the layers of black culture that we rarely discuss in mixed company.

So this week, we're talking about the second season of HBO Max's anthology series Love Life.

I am not exaggerating when I say that our team has been

talking about this show every day since it aired in late October. We love this show because it is

black, it's beautiful, it's cringe, it's heartwarming, all the good stuff you want to see in a show

about the trials and tribulations of black love, child.

But we think what makes it so special is the examination of the main character, Marcus, played by the Good Places William Jackson Harper.

So good in it.

Marcus is a black man living in New York with his wife, Emily, and all, you know, seems well.

That is until he meets Mia, played by Jessica Williams.

Again, killed it.

This is a warning.

There will be spoilers in this episode.

And I don't want to spoil too much too soon, but I will say that love life is possibly the most honest, complex, mature,

and romantic depiction of a black romantic comedy to ever air on TV. Yes, I said it,
