We spend a lot of time talking about and thinking about how biased the media are in this country,

especially as it pertains to political parties, and we certainly do plenty of that here at KKHI.

I was amused on Monday morning as I turned on ESPN and started watching Get Up and their big segment,

three people, roundtable, lots of highlights, lots of video, lots of exceptional looking content

and a deep discussion was not about Kansas Carolina in the

national championship game. It was, the headline was literally, Patrick Mahomes enters

his first year without Tyree Kill. I thought, wow, is that where we are? Because who are

they doing that for? They're not doing it for, are they doing that segment for Chiefs are? Because who are they doing that for?

They're not doing it for, are they doing that segment for Chiefs fans?

Because most Chiefs fans are into the national title game tonight in one fashion or another

and probably aren't thinking so much about Tyree Kill on this Monday.

And it was a long segment for television long, probably five minutes long, a nice roundtable

discussion, how this is going to go. And I thought, this is ESPN. And I know they don't have

the property. They don't have the national championship game. And they're going to be switching

to Masters here this week because it's Masters Week and baseball because they have Major

League Baseball. But I was just stunned on this morning of all mornings that the dominant story and the, you know,

the premium content provider for sports in America on television was Patrick

Mahomes enters his first season without Tyree Kill.

It is National Championship Monday.
