If you are a news junkie like me, you watch the news and you read the news and you see all of the

catastrophic events that taking place, the meltdown that seem to be all over the world.

In fact, you can really react to the news one of possible three ways.

There may be more of a possible three ways.

When you see all of this stuff that is happening, you're going to react and say, well, you know, like some people do.

And so the world is going to hell in a basket, but I'm glad it's over there and not here,

and it's not affecting me. It's not troubling me. Others are going to react, oh, man, the world

is coming to an end. Let's head for the mountains. Let's store food and silver and gold. I mean,

you know, after all, every second commercial is telling you to get gold and silver.

Still others react this way.

Yes, the world appears to be out of man's control.

Yes, the earth is groaning, awaiting for its final redemption.

Yes, the upheaval and the suffering and the persecution, it seemed to be on steroid. Yes, I know that it looks like it's out of control, but it is not out of the control of

the sovereign God, who is still on the throne, who's still in control of it all. And I'm going to

minister, and I'm going to serve, and I'm going to give. And I'm going to minister and I'm going to serve and I'm

going to give and I'm going to sacrifice regardless of the circumstances. Now, what makes the

difference between these views or these reactions to the meltdown of the news? The godly

perspective. In the last message, I talked about the godly perspective

from Naomi's point of view after she had what been through what God had done in her life,

and she kept that godly perspective throughout that time. And today we're going to see that same
