I think I'm just getting delirious. Welcome back to the messy masterpiece, everyone. Happy Tuesday or whatever day you're listening to this episode on. We are super excited to jump in today's devotional. So we're just going to go ahead and do that.

Yes, you guys. We are going to do it today. We are reading out of Psalm 136.1 and the devotional is titled Faithful Love Forever.

I got the giggles. You know you're right not to laugh.

You're yawning. You're giggling. What is going on? Oh gosh. Okay, seriously, you guys. The verse is Psalm 136.1 and it says stuff.

I'm trying so we're not allowed. All right, all right, maybe get real. We're going to do this thing. And it says give thanks to the Lord for he is good. His faithful love endures forever.

The love letter from God says beloved child. My love for you is unfailing and my faithfulness endures forever. I am bursting with compassion and mercy for you. My son gave his life on the cross to show the extent of his love for you.

I love to hear your praises of thankfulness and adoration. Your songs of worship are precious to me. It brings me joy to hear you thank me for the blessings I have given you and it melts my heart when you worship me through the storms in your life.

When you fall, I am there to help you up. I will show you my faithful love and bring you back to me. Never be afraid to call on me for forgiveness. I will love you forever. Love your heavenly Father.

The reflection says, although he is a powerful God, he is also a personal God whose love lasts forever. You never have to be afraid of his love running out. God's love is like a fountain that flows inlessly. Praise God for his goodness. The treasure of truth says God's faithful love deserves our praises.

Amen. I feel like it's so easy to get caught up in what we're expecting from God, like the things we're kind of demanding from him in prayer. And we do forget to just kind of revere him and worship him and praise him just because he's God.

It's like there's one side of it, which is worshiping and thanking God for things that he's done for us, which is incredibly powerful and needed. But there's a whole other side of it, which is just worshiping and praising God because he's God, because of how majestic and holy and set apart he is.

And I think it's so easy to forget that as we're kind of just navigating through life, because nowadays I feel like our prayer list just grows exponentially. And that time that we've been praying starts to become less about worshiping God and more about worshiping the things that we're praying for.

Oh, okay. Lord, so what do you think about that babe?

No, babe, I think it's so good. And one of the lines that really stuck out to me when it said it melts my heart when you worship me through the storms of your life.

And it just reminds me that joy is a choice and that every single day we're hit with hardship, but we have a choice to remember God's faithfulness.

We have a choice to remember how good he is and we have a choice to praise him. And I was actually listening to a sermon on Psalm 118, 24, which says this is the day the Lord has made rejoice and be glad in it.

And the powerful thing about this song was not that he wrote it on his best day. It was that he wrote it on his worst day.

But he chose to rejoice in the Lord because this is the day that he's made and we can be glad in it.

And you guys, the joy of the Lord is our strength and we have a choice to choose it. And that means when we're not choosing joy, we're choosing weakness.

And so every day we have a choice to remember God's faithfulness, choose joy and joy will not only be multiplied in our life, but it'll be multiplied in the lives around us too.

Amen. Amen. I love that. The joy of the Lord is my strength, which y'all can find in Nehemiah 810. But do you want to go and pray, babe?

Yeah, let's pray. Dear Heavenly Father, we thank you that you are a good God. You are a God that is worthy of our praise.
