I'm going to talk to you tonight about, and this is not the title of the message.

This is sort of a title, an overarching title of the series.

I've got a different title for the message.

The title of the series is going to be the radical rechristing of Christianity.

Now I know that's not a word, rechristing, but I'm making it one, taking theological license.

The radical rechrchristing of Christianity.

And then the title for this message tonight, I don't always have titles, but I did one have one

tonight. We're going to talk about having a Trinitarian vision of the cross, a Trinitarian vision

of the cross. And we're going to, what we're going to do is we're going to start at the cross, a Trinitarian vision of the cross.

And what we're going to do is we're going to start at the cross and we're going to go back to the incarnation over the next several weeks.

But I'm going to kind of start at it is finished.

And then we're going to work our way back from there.

Okay? So one of the things that we want to do tonight is we're going to,

it's going to be a little bit more scholastic than normal, but not complicated. My goal is

when any time I feel the Holy Spirit leading me into some academic territory is I want to move

into academic territory without getting caught in the headiness of it all. I want to move into academic territory without getting caught in the

headiness of it all. I want to make it very applicable. And if people can't understand it,

what's the point? And I think that's why Jesus took deep theological truths regarding the

kingdom and he packaged them in parables. And so we're going to, we're going to, it's going to be a little more academic, scholastic,

than normal, but it's going to be basic as well.
