and we are back in the house today. We have got a good brother with us, someone I've known

a long time and appreciated his work. He is the incomparable governor of former governor

of the great state of Ohio. He saw the 2016 Republican nomination for president and

became the last candidate standing in opposition to the presumptive nominee Donald Trump

God bless you for that brother. From 1983 to 2001, he served nine terms in the U.S. House

of Representatives representing Ohio's 12th congressional district. But more importantly

and more recently, he's the author of a great book. It's up to us. 10 little ways we can

bring about big change. He is Governor John Kasich. Welcome to the podcast, bro. Mike,

Michael, it's always good to be with you. As we were last right before we started, you

were trying to give me these accolades. And I said knock it off. Let's just get to it.

You clap. I said that's John Kasich. I know exactly. I love it. I love you for that,

man. You've always been real that way. And I want to start with the book because I think

the title speaks to that realness. It's up to us. And tell us a little bit how that title

translates for you and for the country at this time.

Well, you know, Michael, you know, everybody's uptight, ringing their hands. I mean, families

coming up on Thanksgiving, people are going to be like, oh my God, we're going to have

fighting and you know, all this other crazy stuff. And I'm like, okay, yeah, those things

do matter. But let's let's not ring our hands and step aside. Let's figure out how we

can bring about change. And because you know, life is short. We're all special. I mean,

there's nobody like you, Michael. Never heard about anybody been like you before or like
