Good morning, everyone, and welcome back to another mornings with the Masters. We're

We're rounding out with day four of knowing God's heart devotional. In the Bible app,

Yes, yeah, let's do it. Today's devotional is titled God's Heart for All People,

the verses John 3, 16, for God so loved the world that he gave his one and only begotten Son,

that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. That verse is the essence

of the gospel. Simply stated, the gospel means good news, and its God's plan to save us sinful

human beings from being eternally separated from him. Before we can truly appreciate the good news,

we need to know why we need it. God is perfect. He doesn't condone sin or imperfection,

and since we're sinful in perfect humans, he can't be in relationship with us.

Instead of expecting us to be perfect so that we can know him, he sent Jesus to earth

to make things right with us because he knew we couldn't do it on our own.

That's why it's called the good news. Here are a few important things to remember about the gospel

of Jesus Christ. First is God loves everyone. Notice that John 3, 16 didn't say God loved

some of the people in the world. It says he loves the world, and that means the inhabitants of it.

God's heart is for all people, and the gospel is for everyone.

Next, God wants everyone. Second Peter 3, 9 says, the Lord is not slow about his promise

as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish,

but for all to come to repentance. We may think God is late, but he is always on time.
