So for the Christian, the atonement, the message of what Jesus accomplished on the cross for our salvation,

And we're going to dig into that a little bit today in our conversation, what the Atonement is, why it matters for us as Christians. But for

many unbelievers, the doctrine of the Atonement is probably viewed as bizarre at best and perhaps

even immoral at worst. And yet you argue in this new book that you've written for Crossway that our secular culture actually evidences a certain longing for atonement in maybe ways that us Christians would find surprising or counterintuitive.
