Tom, what's your question for, Adriel?

Hi, Pastor Adriel.

First of all, thank you very much for your program.

I really enjoy listening to it as much as possible. My question is in regards to scripture, when I read in

1st Corinthians chapter 14 verses 34 and 35, it talks about women in the church and they are to

be silent. And my question is, what are your thoughts on that?

It talks in terms of women remaining silent in churches. And if they want to learn something,

they should ask their husbands at home. And then it goes on to say, it is a disgraceful thing for a woman to speak in a church meeting.

What are your thoughts on that part of Scripture?

Hey, Tom, thank you for that question.

Well, all scripture we want to receive as the Word of God.

And so even passages of Scripture that trouble us or that we, okay, how do I make sense?

We're talking about God's word here.

Now we need to also go deeper and say, what was the context there specifically?

We need to ask questions like, is this prescriptive for the entire church at all times?
