Summary

Welcome to the Cadillac Jack – My Second Act podcast! On the show today we're embracing our responsibility to help guide the next generation.

But first, Donna can't get to sleep. Too many TikTik videos to watch. The struggle is real.

Also, we have a bit of a recap from when all the kids were home for Thanksgiving – plus Fudge – and the trail of messes they left in their wake. One day we'll get the house clean. One day…

Donna tells a story about a couple who frequent her shop and a connection she made with the wife. She had recently become a new mother and Donna had some advice for her.

We've also got some cool Jelly Roll tape and a heartwarming story about the Gaddy Family in Fayetteville told as only Caddy can.

Enjoy!

Have any Christmas stories you'd like to share? It's that time of year. Text or call 770-464-6024.

Welcome to Cadillac Jack and Donna, my second act. My name is Donna. I'm Katty's wife. Okay, so I've been watching all these TikTok videos as I do when I get in bed. I am that meme of where I sit around all day and I'm like, I have so much to do. Oh my God, I'm so tired. I have so much to do. and I do because I'm working, but we all are.

1:10.6

And then I'm like running around, but then I'm so tired and then I get so tired. I have so much to do. And I do because I'm working, but we all are. And then I'm like run around. But then I'm so tired. And then I get in bed. And I just, and I just start watching these little cat videos and beaver and people watching beavers and all this stuff. And I just, I can't, I can't go to bed. It's just crazy. And like, I'll literally have my clock set for every for 5.30 a.m. And that's push it to 545. And I'm laying in bed watching cat videos till 3 in the morning. I'm getting on average two hours and 45 minutes of sleep. And you blame me on TikTok. Seriously. These videos... Well, have to have some self-control. I know. I just can't stop. I used to watch TV, but now I'm not even reading books because they put me to sleep. These TikTok videos keep me away. But anyways, back to my ticker-talkers. There are all these videos right now while the Christmas lights are out of people driving their cats, and specifically, Siamese cats, through like, taking them around the neighborhoods and showing them the lights and

everything and they they put their little paws up on the um window sill and they look at all the lights

2:08.7

and so Charlotte and I are 17 year old are going to go to a Marisbank amphitheater out near us because

2:13.8

they have these great they have this light thing this year and we were going to take Roscoe because we thought, oh, he'd love to get out and see the lights. But the reality is... Neither Ming nor Roscoe want to get out to see the lights. No, that's not the reality. The reality is Roscoe goes out a lot for Puppuccinos. So Charlotte takes him all the time through Starbucks. Like they know him at the Starbucks. Ming does not get out a lot. Most cats don't though. Right.

2:36.9

But we are going to take Ming Charlotte takes him all the time through Starbucks. Like they know him at the Starbucks. Ming does not get out a lot.

2:35.3

But most cats don't, though. Right. But we are going to take Ming through these lights. And I'll take some video and we're working on the social media channel and I'll upload it so you all can see it. Or you can just go to mine. But I mean, I'm telling you this is going to be life changing for Ming. It really is. For me or for Ming?

2:50.7

Ming, not for you.

2:51.6

Why is it going to be life changing?

2:52.5

Because she doesn't know what she doesn't

2:54.5

know. Right. Most cats don't though, Don. Most cats never leave the house. They're not, they're domesticated for a reason. Right. So her little world is very small and this is an opportunity. You live in a 3,000 square foot home.
