Are the winds shifting? Is there a sudden turn against Israel's genocide of the Palestinian people?

Suddenly, media outlets, politicians are talking about the atrocities being committed by the Israeli state after, what, 21 months of daily genocide or reprivity, in completely different terms.

What does this mean? What does it represent? Is it meaningful? Does it mean time is running out for this genocide? Isn't it attempt to avoid accountability? Well, that's one of the things I really want to talk about with the incredible Owen Badar, who's incredible Palestinian American analyst who I've not spoken to for a while. I spoke to you many times on this channel. Firstly, oh, it's great to see you again. It's been a while. How are you doing?

to have your insight. So I'm just tough to have you back. Yeah, what do you think about that?

All of a sudden, I mean, in Britain, there's been a certain shift. And in the US as well, amongst certain, I guess,

you know, even on the US right, I mean, I think that's quite interesting, you know,

Trump maga types. What's your take and what's currently happening? Is there a meaningful

shift taking place at kind of elite levels in the media and politics in the US and elsewhere? Yeah, I think there's definitely a shift. And it's, it's clear that we're just in an advanced stage of this genocide at this point. I mean, we've had the three-month period in which Israel declared that there's not going to be a single drop of food that has been allowed into Gaza and they followed through with it. And we've seen what the images are on the other side of this.

It is of literally starving, emaciated people. And people are dying of starvation. There's been

well over 100 cases at this point. I think we're approaching the 200 documented case, to say nothing

of all the cases that we actually don't know about because they've

not made it into a camera. But it's just really indefensible on its face. And I think that that

has caused a bit of a shift in the way that people are talking about it. And honestly, it's,

it's really disgusting and offensive from my perspective because there's nothing more horrifying

about starving

a child than shooting a child in the head. You know, this genocide has just taken a massive toll on the civilian population in Gaza before we've reached this extreme stage of starvation.

And there was every reason to be horrified by everything Israel has done. But there's always the pretense that Israel is doing this defensively and it's only by accident.

A policy of starving the entire population, there is no way to spin that as somehow being a defensive measure that is, you know, accidentally.

And so now Israel has woken up.

They've realized that their image has been tarnished.
